1. Call to Order
   Secretary Ken Behrens noted that a quorum of 8 members was present, 3 of which were elected officers. President Sam Wittner called to order the meeting of the Radops of El Jebel at 1900 hours September 25th, 2023, with all officers except Rich Wall, Treasurer present. Rich Wall, Treasurer, Hoss Monsebroten, Divan Representative, and Mike Schwartz were excused. Emit Hurdelbrink gave the invocation followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. President Sam Wittner welcomed visitor Linda Fishel.
2. Illness and Distress
   1. Divan Rep Hoss Monsebroten strained his back. His regrets will be read in Communications.
   2. Doug Turner is at home and quarantined because of his chemo treatment.
3. Approval of Minutes from last meeting
   1. Paul Harrison moved and Michael Marcus seconded that the May 22nd, 2023 minutes be approved as published. Motion carried unanimously.
4. Treasurer’s Report
   1. The Treasurer’s report is on file with the secretary.
   2. Secretary Ken Behrens read the Treasurer’s report provided by Rich Wall.
   3. Jim Schneider moved and Chuck Noah seconded that the Treasurer’s report be accepted. Motion carried unanimously.
5. Committee Reports
   1. Net Control:
      1. Paul Harrison said all is going well.
   2. Repeater:
      1. Emit Hurdelbrink said that he is still working on the announcement volume on the 2m repeater.
6. Communications:
   1. Secretary Ken Behrens read the communication received from Hoss Monsebroten:
      “Good afternoon Noble Ken, I strained my back this morning and I am currently taking muscle relaxer so I am going to miss the meeting tonight. If you can let the fellow Nobles know I was looking forward to seeing them tonight and I plan on making it next month. Thanks your brother Noble, Hoss Monsebroten”
7. Unfinished Business
   1. None.
8. New Business
   1. Emit Hurdelbrink moved and Ken Behrens seconded to broadcast the monthly meetings via Zoom starting October 23rd. Motion carried unanimously.
9. Elections:
   1. President Sam Wittner opened nominations for the 2024 officers.
   2. The nominating committee nominated the 2024 slate of officers:
      Emit Hurdelbrink President
      Paul Harrison Vice President
      Ken Behrens Secretary
      Rich Wall Treasurer
      All nominees agreed to serve in their positions.
   3. There being no other nominations from the floor, nominations were closed and the slated was elected unanimously by acclimation.
10. Good of the Order
    1. The 3rd Friday of the month social hours are great fun and all should attend.
    2. Emit Hurdelbrink has Milt Bonham’s gear in his car and will be available for members to take to their shacks.
11. Divan Representative Emit Hurdelbrink, pro tem
    1. It was suggested that Hoss Monsebroten be asked to email the Divan report to the secretary.
    2. Emit provided the calendar of events.
    3. He reminded us to check the Red Fez regularly to stay up-to-date with Shrine events and parades.
