Monthly Meeting Minutes
February 23^rd, 2026

1. Call to Order
   Secretary Ken Behrens noted that a quorum of 7 members was present, 4 of which were elected officers. President Paul Harrison called to order the meeting of the Radops of El Jebel at 1900 hours February 23rd, 2026, with all officers present. Mike Schwartz was excused. Jim Oliver gave the invocation followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
2. Installation of Officers
   1. Michael Marcus was installed as Vice President by Divan Representative Sam Wittner.
3. Illness and Distress
   1. Emit Hurdelbrink is doing better.
   2. Jim Oliver said that Kirsten is doing really well.
4. Approval of Minutes from last meeting
   1. Michael Marcus moved and Jim Oliver seconded that the January 26th, 2026 meeting minutes be approved as published. Motion carried unanimously.
5. Treasurer’s Report
   1. The Treasurer’s report is on file with the secretary.
   2. Sam Wittner moved and Michael Marcus seconded that the Treasurer’s report be accepted. Motion carried unanimously.
6. Committee Reports
   1. Parades:
      1. St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Denver is the first parade on March 14th.
   2. Repeater:
      1. Emit Hurdelbrink reported via email that both repeaters have been coordinated and the group’s membership in CCARC has been paid and updated for 2026.
      2. The Radops sincerely send their thanks to Emit for completing these tasks.
   3. Social:
      1. Michael Marcus said that he will work on a summer social.

   1. None.

   1. None.
9. New Business
   1. None.
10. Good of the Order
    1. Ken Behrens reported that the siege of the Alamo started this date in 1836, falling 13 days later on March 6th..
    2. He also said that the US Marines raised the iconic flag on Iwo Jima on this date in 1945.
    3. Rich Wall has a friend who need to get rid of some ham gear and will provide info to members upon request.
11. Divan Representative
    1. Sam Wittner said that Illustrious Sir Dick Williams’ memorial service will be held on March 28th.
