Radops of El Jebel
Monthly Meeting Minutes
April 28^th, 2025

 

1. Call to Order
   Secretary Ken Behrens noted that a quorum of 11 members was present, 4 of which were elected officers. President Paul Harrison called to order the meeting of the Radops of El Jebel at 1900 hours April 28^th, 2025, with all officers present. Emit Hurdelbrink was excused. Jim Oliver gave the invocation followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

2. Illness and Distress

   1. Sam Wittner had sympathy card for Glenn Fishel (SK) for us to sign.

   2. Emit Hurdelbrink is still in treatment.

3. Approval of Minutes from last meeting

   1. Secretary Ken Behrens noted that the March 24^th, 2025 meeting was canceled for lack of a quorum and that the February 24^th, 2025 minutes would be approved at this meeting.

   2. Michael Marcus moved and Chuck Noah seconded that the February 24^th, 2025 minutes be approved as published. Motion carried unanimously.

4. Treasurer’s Report

1. The Treasurer’s report is on file with the secretary.

2. Chuck Noah moved and Dennis Proctor seconded that the Treasurer’s report be accepted. Motion carried unanimously.

5. Committee Reports

   1. Membership:

      1. Secretary Ken Behrens reported that a suspension letter for non-payment of dues was sent to Jeremy DeBard.

   2. Parades:

      1. The next parade will be the Commerce City parade. Information will be sent via email.

   3. Social:

      1. Michael Marcus is working on the details for our summer social.

6. Communications

   1. None.

7. Unfinished Business

   1. None.

8. New Business

   1. Sam Wittner moved and Jim Schneider seconded that the unit purchase a rung in the Ladder of Smiles in memory of Glenn Fishel. Motion carried unanimously.

9. Good of the Order

   1. Emit Hurdelbrink’s email address was given.

   2. The trashed trailer on the street was moved after the city council representative for the El Jebel location got involved.

10. Divan Representative

    1. Jim Taylor requested that we pass him any problems that require Divan action.

    2. He suggested that the Radops have a table the ceremonial to recruit members.

    3. He gave information on the Festival of Trees participation.

    4. He shared details about the hospital patient who was at the Shrine meeting.

Adjournment
Paul Harrison adjourned the meeting at 1932 hours.
