1. Call to Order

Secretary Ken Behrens noted that a quorum of 8 members was present, 3 of which were elected officers. President Sam Wittner called to order the meeting of the Radops of El Jebel at 1900 hours November 28^th, 2022, with all officers except Vice President Michael Marcus present. Vice President Michael Marcus and Mike Schwartz excused. Emit Hurdelbrink gave the invocation followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

2. Illness and Distress

   1. Jim Stewart is having surgery.

   2. Mary Wittner is having surgery.

3. Approval of Minutes from last meeting

1. Emit Hurdelbrink moved and Jim Stewart seconded that the October 24^th 2022 minutes be approved as published. Motion carried unanimously.

4. Treasurer’s Report

1. The Treasurer’s report is on file with the secretary.

2. Paul Harrison moved and Jim Stewart seconded that the Treasurer’s report be accepted. Motion carried unanimously.

5. Petition for Membership and Balloting

   1. Secretary Ken Behrens read the petition for membership submitted by Douglas Turner.

   2. Paul Harrison moved and Emit Hurdelbrink seconded that Doug Turner be accepted as a member of the Radops. Motion carried unanimously.

6. Committee Reports

   1. Net Control:

      1. Paul Harrison said that all is going well in the nets.

   2. Social:

      1. Emit Hurdelbrink said that 20 members have signed up to attend the holiday party at Mickey’s on December 3^rd from 1100-1400 hours.

   3. Uniform and Equipment:

      1. Sam Wittner said that he is still waiting for a response from the bolo tie company.

7. Communications

   1. None.

8. Unfinished Business

   1. None.

9. New Business

   1. Rich Wall moved and Jim Stewart seconded that the Radops give a $200.00 stipend to Ken Behrens. The motion passed with 7 members voting in favor and Secretary Ken Behrens abstaining.

10. Good of the Order

    1. Dave Stoner received his 25 year lodge pin. He gave thanks to Bill Greene (WØGVT, SK) for urging him to get a Ham license also 25 years ago.

11. Divan Representative pro tem Illustrious Sir Ken Jones

    1. National Western Stock Show ticket information will be published in the Red Fez.

    2. Children’s Christmas party will held at El Jebel.

    3. He reminded us to attend the December shrine meeting and vote on the 2023 Divan.

    4. He thanked the Radops for the great year he had as Potentate.

After the meeting adjourned, Emit Hurdelbrink showed a video about the contribution of Hams in WWII. It was titled “Hallicrafters Shortwave Radio Winning WWII with Technology” and produced in 1944.
