Radops of El Jebel
Monthly Meeting Minutes
April 27^th, 2026

1. Call to Order
   Secretary Ken Behrens noted that a quorum of 5 members was present, 4 of which were elected officers. President Paul Harrison called to order the meeting of the Radops of El Jebel at 1900 hours April 27^th, 2026, with all officers present. Sam Wittner & Mike Schwartz were excused. Paul Harrison gave the invocation followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Chief Rabban Jim Marshall was introduced and welcomed.
2. Illness and Distress
   1. Sam Wittner is ill and was excused.
   2. Jane Noah is doing OK.
   3. Jim Stewart is well.
3. Approval of Minutes from last meeting
   1. Michael Marcus moved and Chuck Noah seconded that the March 23^rd, 2026 meeting minutes be approved as published. Motion carried unanimously.
4. Treasurer’s Report
   1. The Treasurer’s report is on file with the secretary.
   2. Michael Marcus moved and Chuck Noah seconded that the report be accepted as read. Motion carried unanimously.
5. Committee Reports
   1. Social:
      1. Michael Marcus is working on the summer social.
6. Communications
   1. Secretary Ken Behrens reported that Emit Hurdelbrink sent an email that a repeater map was available for order at a price of $2.50 each from CCARC. He asked that he be notified if members wanted to order one.
7. Unfinished Business
   1. None.
8. New Business
   1. Rich Wall moved and Michael Marcus seconded that the repeater maps be paid with unit funds. The motion passed unanimously.
9. Good of the Order
   1. President Paul Harrison asked us to identify our Elmer and how they helped us.
      1. Paul had 2 Elmers, Emit Hurdelbrink and Dick Davies. They gave him advice on antennas, radios and other equipment.
      2. Sid Wright was Michael’s Elmer. He helped Michael with setting up his shack and spent a lot ot time in Sid’s shack.
      3. Rich said that his Elmer lived across the street and was instrumental getting him involved with Ham radio.
      4. Chuck also had 2 Elmers. One was the principal at his school and was very good at code. The second was an antenna expert.
      5. Ken’s Elmer was Bill Greene. He passed on his extensive knowledge about Ham radio and suggested what radios to buy.
10. Divan Representative
    1. No report given because Sam Wittner was excused.

Adjournment
      Paul Harrison adjourned the meeting at 1930 hours.
