El Jebel RADOPS Information

RADOPS Purposes and Objectives

To bring together Nobles of El Jebel Shrine in a closer bond of friendship. To encourage, promote and create enthusiasm among its members through amateur radio operating, for the betterment of El Jebel Shrine. To provide entertainment and sociability among its members. To form a solid cooperative body of Nobles who can be called to perform such services as needed by the officers of El Jebel Shrine. To further the fraternal and social interaction between members of Shrinedom, wherever located, and among all other units of El Jebel Shrine and Shrines of other jurisdictions.

RADOPS Motto

The motto of the El Jebel RADOPS is "We talk so children can walk". The Radops would like to extend our helping hands and hearts to children, up to the age of 18, with certain medical problems. Since it was established in 1922, Shriners Hospitals for Children® has cared for nearly 1 million children. Shriners Hospitals for Children® is a pediatric health care system of 22 hospitals dedicated to providing specialty care, innovative research and outstanding teaching programs. Children up to age 18 with orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, and cleft lip and palate are eligible for care and receive all services in a family centered environment, regardless of the patient’s ability to pay. The family must be willing to travel to receive care, but El Jebel Shriners provide support for travel for the patient and one parent or guardian. The parent or guardian is responsible for his or her own meals and lodging. Lodging, however, may be available at the hospital. The care and treatment at any of our twenty-two hospitals is provided without regard to race, religion, creed or relationship to a Shriner. We want to help. Please call 303-455-3470, Ext. 28, 24 hours per day, seven days per week. If you leave a message, your call will be returned.
